On schedule as a rule instead of exception?
In a heavily populated country like the Netherlands, businesses are often located close to residential properties, so that the risk of complaints is always lurking.
When constructing new business premises, RBK uses the design phase to calculate the noise consequences for the immediate surroundings and verifies compliance with the relevant legislation. This compliance ensures that there is no noise nuisance discussion with the surroundings and/or the authorities as soon as the building is completed.
We are also asked for advice in existing situations where a company wishes to become less noisy. In those cases, we often measure all sources of sound in and around the premises first, after which we create a model and verify compliance with legislation. The company receives advice based on the above, on the most cost effective way to reduce noise. We also consult/negotiate with authorities about a reasonable level of remedial work and execution deadline.
